OUR PREMIER ECO-FRIENDLY LOONEY TUNIS WOOL
Welcome to the Looney Tunis Yarn shop. We are very excited to premier our exclusive line of eco-friendly wool. Our sheep are fed only the finest alfalfa and graze freely on our clean, un-sprayed pastures resulting in our flock producing the most beautiful and textured wool.
Our raw Tunis fleece is spun & "green processed" at Green Mountain Spinnery in Putney, Vermont without harsh petrochemical soaps. This year's batch is a fine blend of 87% Tunis and 13% Alpaca. We continually strive to perfect our yarn selection to meet the demands of the discerning knitting community.
This is the most environmentally friendly, humane wool that can be found. Just ask our lambs how they enjoy their twice daily massages!
REMEMBER, THERE IS NO SUPERWASH USED IN PROCESSING LOONEY TUNIS YARN. TO BLOCK YOUR FINISHED KNITTING PROJECT, SOAK IN LUKE WARM WATER AND EITHER EUCALAN OR DAWN LAVENDER DISH SOAP. LAY FLAT BETWEEN TWO TOWELS UNTIL DRY. WATCH HOW BEAUTIFULLY THE TUNIS FIBERS BLOOM!
